How to install ifconfig on CentOS 7/6 Linux

The the network command line tool ifconfig is not installed thus missing by default on CentOS 7/6. You can install with this simple command:

sudo yum install -y net-tools 

ifconfig command usage

This is a very simple command:

# Run the ifconfig command with default input

# Run with -a option
ifconfig -a
