The default Windows hosts file location is: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts but you will need administrator rights to edit this file. This is how to edit the Windows hosts file.
Step 1: Open notepad with Run as Administrator
Press Windows key, type “Notepad” when the application appears, right click on the icon and choose “Run as Administrator”
Step 2: Open the hosts file with opened Notepad
Choose File > Open or Ctrl + O to open the hosts file at: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts
Step 3: Edit/Add new host
Add new host with this syntax: ip_address + space(s) + alias_name(s). For example:
172.16.10.108 sandbox.config9.com config10.com
